In Part 1 of this two-part series, we examined what was occurring in terms of innovation on the talent acquisition front. In the second half of this research, we look forward to the areas in which HR leaders plan to innovate in 2017 and beyond. Based on interviews with HR leaders around the world, we reveal the innovation concepts most relevant to the talent acquisition function and which types of innovation HR practitioners are hoping to introduce.

This research gauged HR leaders’ interest in innovating across different areas of talent acquisition. There was great interest in several types of metrics and workforce planning concepts, including:

  • Predictive analytics designed to assess a candidate’s potential success.
  • Strategic workforce planning.
  • The use of unstructured data.
