2nd Feb 2015

2 Feb 2015 - Employment and Learning Minister Dr Stephen Farry today launched a second Recruitment Academy in conjunction with Alexander Mann Solutions, the world’s leading provider of talent acquisition and management services.

Following on from the success of the first Alexander Mann Solutions Recruitment Academy, which saw 19 participants complete the programme and 17 secure permanent employment with Alexander Mann Solutions, this subsequent Academy aims to build on this success and provide a further 20 graduates with the skills and experience required to take up more exciting opportunities being created by Alexander Mann Solutions in recruitment skills and candidate sourcing techniques.

Minister Farry said: "This second Recruitment Academy will provide a further 20 participants with the skills, knowledge and experience required to take up exciting new opportunities with Alexander Mann Solutions and builds on the success of the first Academy, which saw 17 trainees secure employment with the company.

"My Department’s Assured Skills initiative continues to be a great example of pro-active government intervention to meet the needs of investors, whilst enhancing the skills of unemployed graduates and providing job opportunities for them to compete for which in turn is helping grow our local economy."

The recruitment campaign will target Higher National Diploma and degree graduates from any discipline, and offer an intensive six week training programme leading to the opportunity to compete for a role with Alexander Mann Solutions. Successful participants will also gain an industry-recognised qualification.

Tracy Hurst, Head of the Belfast Alexander Mann Solutions Global Client Service, commented: "We are very excited to have opened our sixth Global Client Service Centre in Belfast servicing Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas. As an organization, we believe that people are the foundation of success and our ability to attract, retain and engage top talent is critical. This programme will be key in enabling us to hire a new generation of talented and high-potential individuals as we look to continue to build and grow our organization in Belfast."
