A “magic circle” law firm had an in-house Sourcing team which was experiencing difficulty attracting Business Development professionals; after some discussion it transpired the main reason was a lack of visible candidates.
We agreed to undertake a four-week mapping exercise targeted upon 18 specific competitor organisations.
Our finished report contained over 250 new names, together with job titles, contact numbers and short profiles; we passed this on to the Sourcing team who subsequently approached and hired over ten new employees; the IP remained with the client so that six months later they were able to ask us to update it for a fraction of the original cost.
